| Pastor Rodney Payne, Chairman
of the Educational Advisory Committee Dr. Bob Lutz, Executive and Financial Officer Dr. Lutz and his wife, Donna, have embraced the center as a personal project and are working hard to help it become a success. Dr. Lutz is a board certified family physician and is partially retired. Besides his clinical doctoral degree he also holds an accedemic doctorate of public health from Loma Linda University School of Public Health. He is experienced in child care as he successfully established and directed, through supervisors, a child care center in Michigan during the late 60s and early 70s. He is always anxious to receive positive and negative input from parents to help make our center the best in the area. Kathy Bowling, Acting Director Kathy is married and has three children, Ashley 10, Stephanie 14, and Chris 17. Kathy recently relocated to this area with her family from Kalamazoo, Michigan. She has directed a daycare for thirteen years, and worked for a large child development center for over 4 years during which time she was the head of the nursery and served as interim director in the director's absence. Kathy has really been a blessing to our children and to our center. She brings with her experience, a love of children, a giving personality and a true dedication to her work. She has instituted some really wonderful ideas since joining us, including potty training charts for our kids, parent newsletters and some marketing concepts that have contributed to our success. Danielle Steckley, Preschool Teacher Danielle is a single mother to a 16 month old girl, Madisen. She owns her own home in Jones Cove and works two full time jobs. Her goal plan includes an undergraduate degree in education and an elementary teaching position. Danielle has been an excellent addition to our center, she has instituted puppet show days and several other exciting activities for our children. Her love and devotion to our children and our center shine through in everything she does. Paula Heslep, Preschool Arts and Crafts Teacher Paula is married and has a 5 year old boy, Nickolaus. She lives in Knoxville and teaches classes for our center on a part time basis. Paula also works part time in the intensive care unit at Children 's Hospital and is currently involved in publishing a book of her childrens crafts. She also teaches the kindergarten Sabbath School class at our church each week, and serves on the educational advisory committee for our center. Paula has brought much to our curriculum, giving our children a good start into artistic expression. She adores the children, and they are excited when she arrives each week.Marialyce Ayles A.K.A. Grannie, Story Lady Marialyce is a mother to 4 children and a grandmother to 7, hence her nickname "Grannie". She serves on the educational advisory committee for our center and generously donates her time each week to entertain and educate our children through reading. The children adore her and all call her Grannie and look forward to her visits. We are grateful for the support of such a caring lady. Our Education Advisory Committee Pastor Rodney Payne, Dr. Bob Lutz, Donna Lutz, Mark Davidson, Paula Heslep, Marialyce Ayles, Duane Meintzer, and Shannon Stevens. All of whom generously donate their time to guide the activities and development of our center and are truly appreciated.
