1. PAYMENT SCHEDULE AND VACATION TIME

Fees are payable by Thursday evenings for the following week so we may assure attendance for the next week. If payment is not received by Monday morning, there will be a late charge of $5.00. If the usual fee and late charge has not been paid by Tuesday morning, the child will not be accepted until the account is paid. You will be charged for the days your child is enrolled, regardless of his/her attendance.

Full time children, after 90 days in the Center, will not be charged for up to two weeks of vacation time each year. (The time cannot be carried over from one year to the next.) Please be sure the teacher and the director know you are using vacation time (misunderstandings could lead to your child being replaced with another full time child). There will be no discount for absences due to snow days, holidays or illnesses. (Case by case a discount may apply for extended illness.) Insufficient checks will be charged $32.50 for bank costs. After two insufficient checks have been given, future payments will be by cash or money order.

A two week written notice is required before terminating enrollment. If notice is not given, an additional charge of one week will be added to your final bill and a $10.00 late fee for each additional week until the bill is paid in full. Any legal fees, attorney fees, or collection charges will be the parent's obligation.

2. FOOD

Children will receive a morning and afternoon snack daily. The Center does not have adequate facilities at this time to prepare hot meals for the children; therefore, it is the parent's responsibility to send with each child a packed lunch and drink for each day. Please mark your child's food container, fork, spoon, etc., with his first and last names if you wish them to be returned.

3. CLOTHES

A complete set of play clothes must be kept in the child's back pack. Please label your child's name on each item of clothing (i.e. coats, sweaters, etc.) as well as the back pack. The Center can not be held responsible for lost or stolen items.

4. HEALTH

For obvious reasons we can only accept well children. All children will be examined upon arrival at the Center each morning. If symptoms of illness are observed, the child will be sent home. Symptoms for keeping your child home are: serious colds, flushed skin, ear aches, red eyes, chills, headaches, skin eruptions and fever. Should a child become ill during the day, the Center will provide care until you can come to pick up your child. Should a communicable disease be found in the Center, parents will be notified promptly.

5. DROPPING OFF AND PICKING UP A CHILD

A reliable person must drop off and pick up your child. The person dropping off your child must stay until your child has been checked in at the Center. If anyone other than the parent will be picking up the child, we must have a signed authorization, by the parent, on file in the office. THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS TO THIS RULE!! There will be a late charge of $2.00 for every five (5) minute interval after 6:00 p.m.

6. RECORDS

The Center will keep records of attendance, health, and identification of each child registered. Please provide a health report with immunization record from the child's health care provider and return all registration forms to the Center on or before your child's first day in the Center. If any of this information would change, please notify the director (i.e., address, work numbers, pickup authorizations, etc.). This is very important in the case of emergency.

7. MEDICAL EMERGENCIES

Should your child have a medical emergency, first aid will be administered by the Center's staff. The parent will be notified as soon as reasonably possible. If medical attention is required, the staff will call the local ambulance service to transport your child to the nearest emergency room. Every effort will be made to contact the child's physician for direction. Any charges will be the responsibility of the parent.

8. MEDICATION

Should the child require medication during the day, the Center's director as well as the staff must be informed. Each bottle must be clearly labeled with the child's name. A note must be provided with clear instructions for giving the medication. The medication note must be signed by a parent.

9. TOYS

Toys and play equipment are furnished for playtime at the Center. WE CAN NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR LOST OR STOLEN PERSONAL TOYS, therefore we ask that you please leave them at home. Security blankets and security toys are permissible at the Center as they can be very comforting to the child.

10. PARENT/TEACHER CONFERENCES

Parents are invited to attend annual parent/teacher conferences. Conferences will be scheduled so that the entire family can attend whenever possible. The Center will do its best to work with even the busiest of schedules when scheduling conferences.

11. CHILD EVALUATION CONFERENCES

Parents are requested to participate in at least two evaluation conferences with the child's teacher during the year.

12. DISMISSAL OF A CHILD

If your child is absent for two weeks without notifying the office, your child will be dropped from the program and may not return until a $20.00 re-registration fee is received, if space is available. If your child care fees become two weeks behind, your child will be dropped from the program.

The Center reserves the right to dismiss any child who, upon entering, seems unable to participate in the group program.

13. GUIDANCE

The Educational Advisory Committee that guides the Center's activities reserves the right to amend these policies without notice. Any changes made will be forwarded to parents as expeditiously as possible.

NOTE: The Center does not discriminate on the basis of sex, race, religion, or handicap.
